Judy Ann Lindley's Obituary
Judy Ann Lindley, 71, was born on October 24, 1947 and passed away on January 4, 2019 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.Judy was an extremely talented artist in many mediums. She enjoyed painting, quilting, crafting and sewing, and playing the piano.She had a deep love of nature and spent as much time outdoors as she possibly could. She had a green thumb and lovingly tended to her flower beds and gardens. She loved to explore national parks and camp in the wilderness with the family.Judy had a large heart for animals and particularly enjoyed bird watching. It was not unusual for Judy to sing to the birds and get them to respond.She was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, but spent her adult life living in many places throughout the south, west, and Midwest- including Colorado, California, Nebraska, Kansas, Kansas, Texas, Florida, and Oklahoma. A lot of moving was involved, but she always managed to make wherever she landed a Home.She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and encouraged their love of the outdoors. She worked primarily as an Adminstrative Assistant throughout her career and was involved in numerous community groups. She was recognized and honored by George HW Bush as one of the “1000 Points of Light” for her work with Women Helping Women in career skill building for abuse and misplaced women.Judy is preceded in death by her parents Lewis Franklin and Edna Clark Zumwalt.She is survived by her loving husband David Lindley; daughter Donna Michelle Lindley and son Adam Bachoroski; son Robert and wife Heather Lindley and their children Reyna and Carisa Lindley; and sister Patsy and husband Terry Davis.Services will be held at the Floral Haven Rose Chapel on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at 12:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Clarehouse or to a charity of your choice.
