After the tragic passing of her father at the age of three, Judy moved with her family to Tulsa, Oklahoma where she attended Carbondale Assembly of God and graduated from Webster High School. After dating for several years, she married James Leroy Quimby in Tulsa, OK, on April 6, 1956. They were married for 67 years. Judy was a faithful member of Carbondale Assembly of God, where she sang in the choir and attended for over seventy years.
In later years, she enjoyed being a part of the church’s Sunshine Group for seniors. She was deeply creative, painting beautiful works of art on canvas, creating flower arrangements, and dabbling in interior design. Additionally, she enjoyed hosting her extended family at many special events and holidays, leaving a lasting mark on her family, church and community.
In her early 80’s, she and Jim moved to Spring Hill, TN to be closer to Jeff and his family. After Jim’s passing, Judy moved to spend her final year close to Steve and his family in TX. Jeff, Steve and their families are grateful for this precious time they had with Jim and Judy in their sunset years.
