Julia Ann Welch's Obituary
Julia Ann Welch passed away on January 4, 2018 in her Bixby home surrounded by her loving family. Julia was born January 30, 1938 in Henryetta, Oklahoma to Charley and Blanch Kaler.Julia was an avid gardener, seamstress and cook. She loved being outdoors fishing, and camping with the family. She really enjoyed spending time with her family at home or outside.Julia is survived by her husband of 58 years, Douglas Welch of Bixby, Oklahoma, son Todd Welch and wife Susan of North Richland Hills, Texas, son Curtis Welch and wife Melissa of Kinston, North Carolina, and daughter Renee Waldrop and husband Rod of Hammond, Indiana. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Mandy, Tisha, Nathan, Ashly, Stephanie, Jesaka, and Logan, and eight great-grandchildren. Julia has six surviving siblings with an additional four predeceased.Julia touched many lives and was the light of our life. A forty-four-year member of the North Heights Church of Christ. She obeyed the gospel, the year she married 58 years ago, and we take solace in knowing she is in heaven without pain or sorrows.Visitation will be held 1:30 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, January 8, 2018, at the Floral Haven Funeral Home, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held 1:00 PM, Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at the North Heights Church of Christ, 11710 S. Memorial Drive, Bixby, Oklahoma.Donations can be made in Julia’s name and honor to the Hope Harber Children’s Home and Family Ministries, PO Box 1047, Claremore, Oklahoma 74017.
