Julian C. Pope's Obituary
Julian C. Pope, a resident of Broken Arrow, passed away October 17, 2020 at the age of 73. He was born June 10, 1947 to Homer Cullen Pope and Eddie (Graham) Pope in Cameron, Texas. He was V.P. of Land in the oil and gas industry and was a volunteer church administrator during his retirement. Julian was an avid fan of the Texas Longhorns, Houston Astros and Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed collecting antiques, restoring old tractors and racing horses but most of all he loved spending time with his loving wife, Phyllis and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, H.C. and Eddie Pope; nephew, Ezekiel McClung; uncles, Sam and Carroll Graham; sister-in-law, Vicky Bray; mother-in-law, Laverne Gardner; brother, William Cullen Pope.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Pope; two sons, Greg and Jay Pope; two brothers, Robert and David Pope; sister, Ellie Campbell; sister-in-law, Patsy Ramby; nephew, Jon Ramby; niece, Suni McClung; nephews, Neil, Philip and Steve Pope; niece, Dianna Krueger; niece, Cindy Eudy; nephews, David and Allen Campbell; numerous grand nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to South BA Baptist Church (sbab.churchcenter.com)
The family does request everyone to please wear a mask for visiation and attending the church service.
