Julie was recommended to us following the passing of Marilyn Pruitt, our former bookkeeper and also a close friend. Although she had worked with Marilyn for some time, they worked together in the evenings, so we had never met. I couldn't imagine how we'd get everything sorted out, but Julie was unfazed by the very large mess that we had in front of us. One step at a time, it all came into order. Whenever I was overwhelmed by some new unfamiliar issue, she'd always say "just give it to me". She was our rock . . . calm no matter how animated things became around our house.. I was (and still am) truly amazed.During the time that she worked for us, Bob's Aunt Bunny passed away, then his Mom and then his Dad. She helped me plow through all of their paperwork and loose ends in order to get their estates settled. When Frank died, we found out that he had a different credit card for every business that he "traded with", because he was unaware that he could do all of that with one card. It was quite a lengthy process to close out all those accounts, but first we had to get into those accounts on his computer. In fairly short order, Julie had figured out what his passwords were! If she wasn't so honest, she could have been a hacker. ??Julie fearlessly waded through the morass of us turning 65 . . . Social Security and various types of health insurance and al of the resulting paperwork. Julie even took on being our travel agent on many trips and the anxious moments that I seemed to encounter frequently en route. As we worked closely together we became good friends and we talked through many aspects of our lives. I knew without any doubt, that she was tremendously proud of, and loved, all three men in her life, Dave, Dustin and Drew. I never tired of her telling me about them.I knew that Julie was my last gift from my friend Marilyn. Because of that, I called her "Jewels". We will miss her talent and friendship forever.
