June Mary Lawhorn aka June Bug, 84 of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma passed from this life on Thursday, December 31, 2020 in a Tulsa hospital. She was born June 9, 1936 in Evanston, Illinois to her parents, Alvin Paul Fischer and Mary Ann Read Obituary
Oh, I am sad to learn this news, June was a bright light in our Broken Arrow community and an advocate for Older Adults I will miss her smiling face and her leadership! I had the privilege to work with on projects over the years to help seniors, and she was always very insightful and helpful.

June, you are home now friend. Boy did we share laughs at the puzzle table then later at your house setting up your TV. How many Seniors does it take?! I am thankful and grateful that you were a part of so many lives including mine. Sarah Belle always loved visiting with you too. You are gonna LOVE heaven!
June loved to come to the Broken Arrow Senior Activity Center and believe she lightened up the area where her Puzzle skills impressed so many. Not only puzzles but she knew your name and never forgot. Her Puzzle area was lavished with family pictures and when a new baby came or a birthday she was on line streaming and saying Hey look..or say Hi to...she sure knew how to use the modern communication! She would take pics n post and share all her travels. She enjoyed cooking for pot luck and signing people in for their Birthday month. She was active in spirit. communication and a greeted people with a smile. I also enjoyed playing games with her w a group from the Ambucs on weekends when we could all get together. I say it's only fitting that she placed the last piece of the puzzle of her life in place on last day of 2020. Thankyou to the entire family for Sharing Junebug with all of us at the center. Rita B
I was so sorry to hear of June's passing. I will miss seeing her at the puzzle table at the Senior center. She did so much to make the center a happy place. She worked so hard to make the Travel Club a success and I will never forget all the great trips she planned and many of them that I experienced. I was able to see so much of Oklahoma and the surrounding states because of her. Also, will miss the talks we had about being born in New England (which we both loved) but how fortunate we were to be living in Oklahoma. She will be missed by all her knew her.

June Bug, Norm and I both enjoyed the years of friendship we shared with you while we were there in Broken Arrow Seniors, after moving to Texas in 2015 we kept up and enjoyed your post's on Facebook and the things you shared.. My Norm also passed on Dec 12th 2020, but I know if he were beside me his thoughts of you would be that same. RIP dear friend, until we meet again on the other side of Heavens Gate.
