Karen Florence Solberg's Obituary
Karen Florence Solberg (Mom, Gramma, Gigi), 85, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus, on September 29, 2025.
Karen was born on June 25, 1940, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Harold and Renata Osten. She graduated from Milwaukee Lutheran High School. Karen worked as a secretary at Maytag before marrying Paul Solberg on September 26, 1959. She loved spending time with her Best Friend, Jesus. Anyone that met her knew, within a very short amount of time, that her heart belonged to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Karen also loved spending time with her Grandkids and Great-Grandkids. In fact, she could often be found on the ground connecting with them and playing with them on their level. She loved bird watching and was an avid reader. Karen loved to curl up in bed with a bag of Lay’s chips, a cold Coca Cola, and a good book.
Karen is pre-deceased by her Husband, Paul Solberg of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Father, Harold Osten; Mother, Renata (Smerz) Osten; Brother, Harold Osten, Jr.; and Nephew, Timothy Osten, all of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Karen is survived by her three children: Dale Solberg and wife Roxanne, of Oakdale, Minnesota; Dean Solberg and wife Sandra, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Diana Osborne and husband, Ozzy, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Karen is also survived by her granddaughter, Megan Berling and husband Andrew, of Cottage Grove, MN; her grandson, Jordan Bethuram and wife Chelsea, of Broken Arrow, OK; her granddaughter, Kari Bethuram and partner Miles, of Broken Arrow, OK; her grandson,
Paul Solberg and wife Bri of Lino Lakes, MN; her grandson, Joshua Bethuram and wife Katie, of Broken Arrow, OK; and her great-grandchildren: Carter Berling, Finnley Sasser, Jaelyn Berling, Blake Berling, Elliott Solberg, Cora Solberg, Judah Bethuram and Lyra Bethuram.
