Karen Staats' Obituary
Karen Staats, 57, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away on September 9, 2025, in Tulsa. She was born on March 7, 1968, in Tulsa, the beloved daughter of Ralph and Sandra Twidwell.
Karen lived a life full of humor, heart, and a love for the simple joys of country living. She had a passion for photography and often captured the beauty of the world around her. She loved going to rodeos, spending time outdoors, and caring for animals—especially horses, potbelly pigs, and goats. Her nurturing nature extended not only to animals but also to people; she worked as a caregiver, offering comfort and companionship to many.
Karen briefly worked with the Tulsa Sheriff’s Department, where she valued the chance to serve her community. Known for her wit and quick sense of humor, she brought laughter and light to those around her. Above all she cherished her family, was a caregiver for her mother and treasured every moment spent with them.
Karen’s legacy of love, laughter, and resilience will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter Valerie Staats and sister Janet Twidwell
She is survived by her husband Kevin Staats, daughter Sheridan Long and husband Dakota, son Kyle Staats, daughter Kindyle Jackson and husband Dallas Lawrence, daughter Alyssa Staats and fiancé Justin Pendry, daughter Savannah McCaig and her husband Daniel, brother Justin Twidwell, grandchildren Josh McMillon, Ricky Palmer, Tayden Moore, Kennedy Matthews, Malaki Matthews, Jett Long, Harper Jade Staats, Cassidy Ramirez, Aubrey Bennett, Jaxton Lawrence, Eli Matthews, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and loved ones.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 23, 2025 from 4-7 PM at Floral Haven Funeral Home
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Floral Haven Funeral Home - Rose Chapel
