Karla Sue Harris' Obituary
Karla Sue King Harris was born on June 7, 1945, in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, and passed away on October 17, 2023, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She is survived by her husband of fifty three years, Dale Harris, and her three loving sons and their wives Brent and Gina Harris of Tulsa, Paul and Jamie Harris of Tulsa, and Wesley and Petrina Harris of Oklahoma City. She is also survived by her sister, Rhea King Sulzycki and husband Mike of Oklahoma City, her brother, Reverend Spencer King of Forest Grove, Oregon, her mother-in-law, Barbara Harris of Russellville, Arkansas, her sister-in-law, Rhonda Hale and husband Randy of Russellville, Arkansas, and her brother-in-law, Pastor Darryl Harris and wife Pam of Eureka Springs, Arkansas. She had many loving grandchildren who will miss her very much. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncle, cousins and friends.
Karla was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Nadine King, and her brother Layne King. She grew up in Barnsdall, Oklahoma, Hutchison, Kansas, and Odessa, Texas. She moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1963 to attend the St. John School of Radiologic Technology. After graduation she worked as an X-Ray and Mammography Technician for several years. After marriage she made Tulsa her home for sixty years.
Karla was a beloved individual who touched the lives of many. She left behind cherished memories and a profound impact on those fortunate enough to have known her. Karla's presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit and the legacy she leaves behind will forever be held in our hearts. May she rest in eternal peace. Karla will be remembered for being loving, outgoing, funny, beautiful, and extremely generous. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 12:30 PM on Friday, November 3, 2023, at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel, located at 6500 S 129th E Ave, Broken Arrow, OK 74012. A reception will follow upon conclusion of the chapel service
