Katherine Patricia Hall's Obituary
Katherine “Katie” Patricia Hall passed away on Monday, October 12, 2020. She was 32 years old. She is preceded in death by her father, Roy Buster Malone Jr and is survived by her husband, Ryan Hall and daughters Evelyn Hall, Rebecca Hall, and Rennea Jones, her mother Anne Dorman, her sister Elizabeth Reynolds and her family, her brother Michael Malone and his family, her grandparents Reg & Pat Collins, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.
Katie enjoyed gardening, reading, horror movies, music, and shopping, just to name a few things. She had recently started a new job training to be a corrections officer, hoping to ultimately become a counselor. She was so excited about this new chapter in her life.
We celebrate Katie’s life. She was such an intelligent person and totally fearless. She was passionate about criminal justice reform, speaking often about the unfair treatment of inmates and the over-crowding of our prisons with people whose actions should have never landed them in prison. She was equally as outspoken about abortion and the sanctity of life, often commenting that abortion should never be used as birth control and that all babies are precious in God’s eyes.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Innocence Project, National Institute for Criminal Justice Reform, or National Right to Life.
