Hi Mom. I know it's been a while since I've written, so we have a lot of catching up to do. As far as for me, I have retired from the Fire Department. Had a good career. Unfortunately, I spent the last 16 and a half years sitting at a desk. Just couldn't take it anymore and retired. Carolyn is still working for a little while longer. Can't wait until she retires so we can travel like you and Dad did. Well, both Alexis and Audra are now married. They both married a couple of great young men. You would like both of them. Alexis has a little boy named Hayes. Yes, I'm now a grandfather. He is the coolest little guy. He will be two years old this July. I still stay in touch with Kelly. We see each other every year at our birthdays and get together for lunch. She is doing well also. I need to be better at staying in touch with her. I still think of you so much. I really miss you and Dad. We just celebrated Mother's Day yesterday, and I thought about you quite a bit yesterday. I'm 61 now as you know, so I'm getting closer day by day of getting back to see you and Dad in heaven. But until then, I'll keep updating you on what's happening here. I love you always.

Hi Mom. It's been a little over a year and I just thought I that would update you on a couple of things. You probably already know, but Dick and Freida are now in heaven with you and Dad. Hopefully you guys have all met up and are having a great reunion. Carolyn and I went through your paintings today. The ones we didn't keep we gave to Kelly. She was very appreciative. I also found the first painting you did of the little astronaut boy. I sure enjoyed seeing your signature at the bottom of the painting. I can still tell your handwriting. I still miss you so much. We are all doing fine here. Alexis will be getting married this year to a real fine gentleman. I'm very happy for her as I'm sure you would be. Audra is doing well also. She will be graduating this year and already has a job lined up. I'm so proud of both the girls. I'm sure you would be too. Well, I'll be back next year to give your more updates. I love you Mom. Thanks for everything you did for me while I grew up.

Mom, It’s been seven years since you started living in heaven. I told you just before you died that I would take care of Dad for you. Well, I kept my word. For his last two years, I was his guardian here on earth. I’m sure by now, that you two are doing the tango again. I’m still keeping in touch with Kelly. She is doing well. I really miss you. You know, when you can see people with your eyes, or hear their voices, we tend to take our time together for granted. But once all of that is taken away, you really can’t cherish the memories quite enough. I just wanted you to know that I think of you often. I know I didn’t really cry at your funeral, but the hurt I feel now, just grows stronger every year you’re not here. I will send you another note next year. I love you….Phil
