Kathryn "Kay" Francis Tripicchio's Obituary
Kathryn “Kay” Francis Tripicchio was born July 15, 1931 in Joplin, Missouri and passed away October 18, 2016 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. After finishing college Kay married the love of her life Ralph Tripicchio Sr. Together the couple had six children; Ralph, Kathy, Mike, Bill “Trip”, Mary Beth “BZ” and Joey. Kay was a very classy lady she never went out without having her hair done, makeup on and the right accessory for every outfit. Kay was always successful no matter what she was doing. She had strong determination and and was always a “force to be reckoned with.” Kay’s determination was reflected in her career with Ft. Bend County as the Director of Alcohol and Drug Abuse. Kay always had a knack for making you feel like the most important person when she was talking to you; and she always wanted to hold your hand and show affection. Kay’s life revolved around her family and friends, she had pictures and scrap books on display everywhere. Kay was loved and respected by everyone who knew her, and she impacted so many lives. The family would like to thank everyone for the kind thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. They would especially like to thank Rose Rock Hospice and Senior Suites for the never ending love and care they showed to Kay; especially, Meredith, Bonni, Rita and Leilani. Kay will be forever missed by everyone who knew and loved her. Kay is preceded in passing by her beloved husband of 63 years, Ralph Tripicchio Sr.; her parents, Floyd and Nova Beechwood and her granddaughter. Kay is survived by her son, Ralph William Tripicchio Jr; daughter, Kathy Shetters and her husband Bill; son, Michael “Mike” Tripicchio; son, Bill “Trip” Tripicchio; daughter Mary Beth “BZ” Alford and her husband Mike; son Joey Tripicchio; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; her loving and best friend from Senior Suites, Lynda Biggs and countless other family members and friends. There are no services planned at this time however the family has requested memorial contributions to be made in Kay’s honor to the Alzheimer’s association at alz.org
