Kay Frances Pugh's Obituary
Kay Frances Fisk was born on October 25, 1935, and peacefully passed away on July 17, 2024. She was brought up with love by Perry and Mattie Fisk after being adopted at the Home of Redeeming Love in Oklahoma City. Growing up in Holdenville, Oklahoma, Kay met her lifelong best friend Rita Nance (Evertz) during elementary school, and their friendship bond has lasted for over 80 years.
Kay met the man of her dreams, Wayne Pugh, and they said their vows on April 21, 1959, marking the beginning of their life together. Seven years later, in 1966, they were overjoyed to welcome their precious son, Jeffrey, into their family. Kay, Wayne, and Jeff shared a close bond, engaging in various activities and embarking on adventures together. Kay captured countless memories through her photography as well.
Tragedy struck in 1995 when Wayne passed away, leaving a void in Kay's heart. However, the arrival of her first grandchild, Garrett, brought a ray of light into her life, followed by the addition of Tater and Tollie. Despite the pain of losing her beloved Wayne, Kay found solace and joy in the presence of her grandchildren. Kay was a devoted, proud and loving presence in their lives, supporting them in school, volunteering at Riverfield and attending every sporting event and performance. She cherished every moment watching these 3 boys grow into remarkable men. Kay also connected with her biological family later in life, establishing relationships with her surviving eight half-sisters and learning about her roots.
Kay is survived by her son Jeffrey; daughter-in-law, Annahlyn; grandchildren: Wayne Garrett, Taylor (Tater), and Tollie and wife Ashtyn.
Kay is now reunited with her husband Wayne and her parents in eternal peace. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
“One day, you’ll just be a memory to some people. Do your best to be a good one”.
A graveside service to honor the life of Kay will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, September 20, 2024, at Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
