Kelli Diann Smoot's Obituary
Kelli Diann Smoot, a resident of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed away on May 18, 2023, at the age of 59. She was born on May 5, 1964, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to loving parents, Jerry and Bette Smoot. Kelli's departure has left a void in the lives of her family, friends, and all who knew her.
Kelli attended Union High School and graduated with the class of 1982. Throughout her life, Kelli's passion for learning remained steadfast, and she embraced the world of literature, often finding solace and joy in the pages of books. Her love for reading was unparalleled. Puzzles and board games were also sources of delight for Kelli. She reveled in the challenge they presented and the camaraderie they fostered among loved ones. Many fond memories were created during these playful times, as Kelli had a knack for bringing people together and creating an atmosphere of joy and laughter. Kelli's faith in God was unwavering and provided her with strength and comfort throughout her life. She drew inspiration from her spirituality and found solace in her relationship with the divine. Her unwavering devotion to God shaped her character and influenced her interactions with those around her.
Above all else, Kelli's heart overflowed with love for her family. Her son, Nathaniel, and granddaughter, Emerson, held a special place in her heart. They were her greatest treasures, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Kelli's love for her family was boundless, and she always put their needs before her own. Her selflessness and caring nature were evident in her every action.
Kelli was known for her strong will and unwavering opinions. She possessed a courageous spirit that allowed her to stand up for what she believed in, even in the face of adversity. Yet, underneath her determination, lay a heart full of compassion. Kelli had a caring personality and a genuine concern for the well-being of others. She touched the lives of many through her acts of kindness and her willingness to lend a helping hand.
As we mourn the loss of Kelli Diann Smoot, we also celebrate the impact she had on our lives. Her memory will forever be etched in our hearts, and her legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire us. May she find eternal peace, reunited with her loved ones who have gone before her.
Kelli was preceded in passing by her mother, Bette (Wood) Smoot; she is survived by her, father Jerry Smoot; her son, Nathaniel Smoot; her beloved granddaughter, Emerson Smoot; her brother, Rich Smoot, and his wife, Janelle as well as a host of other family members and friends who will dearly miss her presence. Forever in our hearts, Kelli Diann Smoot will be remembered as a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend who touched our lives in profound and meaningful ways.
A celebration of life service will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, May 25, 2023, at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel to honor Kelli's life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Eastland Hills Christian Church in Tulsa. Donations can be mailed to 1911 S 145th E Ave, Tulsa, OK 74108
