Ken Davis' Obituary
Kenneth Lyle Davis of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away in the early hours of December 20, 2021.
Ken was born on September 24, 1959 in Wabash Hospital, in Wabash County to Jesse and Bernice Davis, the youngest of five. Ken graduated from Manchester High School in 1978 and then joined the military. He served honorably in the US Coast Guard, Navy, and Army Reserves. Ken earned a bachelor’s degree in Computers and Information Systems and spent his entire working career in Information Security field. He was distinguished many times throughout his 30+ year career and contributed to numerous research papers that are still cited today.
Ken was first and foremost a family man. He raised 6 children with Lori Beck and 2 with Billie Criss. You could often find him at his childrens' or grandchildrens' sporting activities, including soccer, t-ball or gymnastics. He loved reading them books, telling them stories, and watching movies with them.
Outside of his family, Ken enjoyed an active social life. If he wasn’t playing golf or in between pickleball tournaments, you could find him enjoying a cigar and watching sports with his many close friends at “the box.” He was also passionate about writing poetry and loved spending time outdoors in nature with the sun on his face.
Ken is survived by his children: Benjamin (Natalie), Cami, Ryan (Ashleigh) Ashley, Zachary and Hunter; grandchildren: Olivia, Avery, Graham, Henry and Audrey. Siblings: Linda Garringer (Carl), Harold Davis, Retta Melcher (Jay) and Alice Zimmerle (Bill).
Preceded in death by his, son, Philip, daughter, Nicole and parents, Jesse and Bernice Davis.
Funeral Services will be held December 28th at Floral Haven, 6500 S 129th E Ave, Broken Arrow, OK 74012. Interment will be in the Centerfield Cemetery by his children.
