Kenneth "Kenny" Dobbins' Obituary
Kenneth Wayne Dobbins, also known as Kenny or Ken, 65, of Broken Arrow, walked into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on May 10, 2020, after fighting a long courageous battle with Parkinsonism. Kenny was a loving husband, Paw Paw, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to many. He was born August 2, 1954 in Paris Arkansas to Joe and Mary Dobbins. He was a graduate of Northside High School in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was in the used car business for many years before starting his own auto business, Dobbins Motor Company. He then ventured into commercial real estate and continued until his death.
In his early years, Kenny enjoyed racing dirt bikes. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles with his brother, Dennis. He and his family made many great memories over the years at their lake house on Grand Lake. He was an avid fisherman and loved any opportunity to go fishing with his son, Garen, and his grandchildren. He also enjoyed traveling with his beloved wife and best friend, Connie. From cruises with their friends to adventures in their RV, they had many great times and saw many amazing places. These memories will forever be in their hearts and carry them through these difficult times. Kenny was a great communicator and always had a story to tell. There was always joy in his presence and he left everyone smiling.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Dobbins of Broken Arrow, son, Garen Dobbins and wife Laura; daughter Carrie Hall and husband Dave, along with four grandchildren, Kelson and Avery Dobbins and Lane and Levi Hall. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Keaton Graham Turnbow. We take comfort knowing he was welcomed with open arms by Keaton and his parents.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 17 from 12 pm - 4 pm and Monday, May 18 from 9 am to 1 pm at Floral Haven Funeral Home.
Celebration of life service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 18, 2020 at Life Church- 2420 E. Kenosha Street, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
