Kenneth Lavern Fair's Obituary
Kenneth Lavern Fair was born September 16th, 1931, in Maysville, Oklahoma to Opal Geneva (Payne) and Boyd Wayne Fair. He passed away on August 8, 2014, at his home. Kenneth grew up in western Oklahoma and enlisted in the army in 1952, serving in Japan during the Korean Conflict. After discharge he married the love of his life, Vinita Mae Duke in 1955, at the Magnolia Baptist Church in Crawford, Oklahoma, by Pastor Martin. He entered Oklahoma A&M where he earned a degree in accounting. In 1960, when offered the opportunity, he and Vinita with their growing family,. moved to Tripoli, Libya, where he was an accountant for the Oasis Oil Company. The family moved back to Broken Arrow in 1970 and Kenneth worked for Amerada Hess Oil Company until his retirement in 1994.Kenneth was predeceased by his parents and sister, Shirley. He is survived by his wife, Vinita of 58 years, their four children, Cheryl Wilkinson and her husband Jim of Stillwater, Ken Fair of Broken Arrow, Bryce Fair and his wife Sherri of Oklahoma City, Sheila Johnson and her husband Dean of Broken Arrow, 9 grandchildren, Kristin MacDonald, Marci Sisney, Patrick and Daniel Fair, Miranda and Mason Fair, Chase, Chance and Chandler Johnson and two great-grandchildren, Madison and Annabel MacDonald.Celebration of Life will be held 3:00 PM, Monday, August 11, 2014, at The Church at Battle Creek, 3025 N Aspen Avenue in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma
