Dearest Joyce & Family, It is with mixed emotions that I am writing this–for Ken and his release from the prison his mind had become, I am so happy; for you all who loved him so much and so well, I am so grieved. He was a big man with a big presence and an even bigger heart (and laugh!). He leaves a big hole in this world but I am so glad I had the chance to know him. As I heard the news, I thought back to one particular time when we had been somewhere on a business trip. Ken was picking you up at the airport. At this time, you had been married a number of years but you were both like newlyweds when you saw each other! And that's the way it was. You loved each other and loved life and made the most of it. His was a life well lived and will be missed. I hope you are doing well, staying busy and still enjoying life. I'm seeing your smile and hearing that great laugh of yours and know that Ken would want you to keep doing just that! Love, Connie
Dear Aunt Joyce, I am so sorry about Uncle Ken.He always made me laugh! I'll never forget the both of you coming out to Jim's house. You were there for a lot of things. But mostly that you both loved unconditional . You remind me of my mom, with a love so fierce, I wish I could find the same thing… I hope I can find the love you both had. Sincerely, Bobbi
