Kenny Leon Snow's Obituary
It is with deeply heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kenneth Leon Snow. Known lovingly as “Kenny” to family and friends, Kenny was born on January 29, 1955, in Claremore, Oklahoma, and departed this world from natural causes at his residence in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on November 22, 2024, at the age of 69.
Kenny grew up in Dallas, Texas, where he graduated high school before returning to Oklahoma in his late teenage years. A hardworking and talented stonemason, he dedicated his life to construction and took pride in his craft.
Kenny was a man of passion and had a true zest for life. He loved live music, attending countless concerts that spanned decades. He joked he’d been to more concerts than members of most bands—and probably had. His favorite bands included The Steve Miller Band, The Who, Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Pink Floyd. One of his favorite stories to share was from 1974, when he famously called out Led Zeppelin’s lead singer, Robert Plant, for mistakenly referring to Arlington as “Dallas.” Kenny made sure to set the record straight with his unforgettable words: “This is Arlington, motherf***er!” Kenny always made sure to share that story with every single person he ever had the pleasure of meeting.
Beyond his love of good music, Kenny enjoyed spending time at the lake on his boat, water skiing, and sharing stories of his adventures, including his tales from Woodstock and trips to Mexico. He had a sharp wit, a kind heart, and considered himself a true marijuana connoisseur. Above all, Kenny adored his mother Virginia, and cherished the memories they shared together.
Kenny lived life with passion and a sense of humor. His wild stories, laughter, and love for life will forever be remembered by those who knew him.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Snow Sr. and Virginia Lou (Gooch) Browne, and his brothers Vernon Lee Snow and Roger “Rocky” Snow. He leaves behind his brother, Chuck Browne, and his beloved daughter, Kendi Diane.
