Kim Carol Dilbeck's Obituary
Kim Carol Kimes was born January 26, 1953 to Everett Carl Kimes and Mary Magdalene Terry Kimes in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. She departed this life April 26, 2017 at the age of 64 years and 3 months at her home in Skiatook, Oklahoma. Kim was born and raised in Pawhuska. She attended Pawhuska Public Schools. On May 19, 1968 she married John Thomas Hull (Tommy) in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. They moved to Michigan where Tommy worked on a pipeline as a welder until the death of her father (Everett) which subsequently brought them back to Oklahoma where they would settle and start a family. On April 28, 1971 they welcomed their first child, a son, John Thomas Hull II (JohnT.) in Pawhuska Hospital. On September 1, 1974 they welcomed their second child, a daughter, Michelle Mary Hull in Bartlesville Oklahoma. Tommy and Kim started Tom’s Welding Service in 1971. Kim stayed busy working alongside Linda in the family business while raising a family. She always made time to make Saturday night trips to the drive-in and Murphy’s with Sherry and Larry. In 1978 she and Tommy opened Hull Oil Company which is when life really got busy. Over the years Kim became a self-taught expert in all things related to accounting and oil field sales and service. Her stature was small, but her spunky personality was a perfect fit for working with oilfield hands. Some of her best friends were made during these years.On December 29, 1992 she married Randy Dilbeck in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In 1994 she opened KARDS in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. KARDS was a gift shop and stood for Kim and Randy Dilbeck’s. They lived in various cities in Oklahoma and Colorado over the next two decades. Kim had an adventurous spirit and love of travel so she and Randy set out to see the world. Whether it was driving across the USA on the back of a motorcycle, snorkeling in Hawaii, sailing, or swimming in the Mediterranean Sea near Malta, she had a zest for life and enjoyed her adventures with Randy. In the spirit of supporting family businesses, Kim helped her son, JohnT., in the car business. She also helped her son-in-law launch his computer consulting firm in 2004. Kim worked with Hank in the IT industry until she retired in December 2015. Kim’s hobbies included painting, flower gardening, swimming, traveling, and spending time with her grandkids which was her favorite of all. Kim is survived by a large and loving family who will miss her feisty spirit but will surely perpetuate her legacy and sense of adventure.She is survived by Randy Louis Dilbeck her husband of 24 years of the Skiatook home; son JohnT. Hull and wife Monica Hull of Cleveland, Ohio, daughter Michelle Hubler and husband Hank Hubler of Bristow, Oklahoma. Step-daughters: Jennifer Moore and husband Derick Moore of Verdigris, Riann Swanson and husband Trent Swanson of Stillwater, Emily Atterberry and husband Josh Atterberry of Bartlesville. Grandchildren: Rachael Greene, Alivia Greene, Jack Hull, Whit Hull, Sam Hubler, Shelby Hubler, Stella Hubler, Kyle Moore, Ty Moore, Parker Smith, Sloan Swanson, Sawyer Swanson, J.D. Atterberry and Macy Atterberry. Nephew: Larry Enslow of Vinita. Niece: Sherry Andersen of Coweta. Preceeded in death by her parents Everett (1968) and Mary (1999), brother Terry Enslow (1989).
