Kyle Patrick Shepherd's Obituary
Kyle Patrick Shepherd, born on July 15th, 2000, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, brought immense joy to his family and friends throughout his life. Tragically, he passed away on Friday, May 26th, 2023, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Kyle’s absence leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Family was everything to Kyle, and he cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. He possessed a deep affection for his parents, Angela and Cody, but at his core, he was a momma’s boy and will always be her baby. The love he had for his daughter, Scarlet, was paramount. Kyle’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of his four siblings; he shared a unique bond with each: Kaylee, Trinity, Emma, and Kade.
He was the beloved grandchild of Granny Connie and Jim, Papa Steve and Denise, Jay, Shawn and Rose, Nonnie and Papa Gary, and Rick; however, the relationship between him and his grandma Linda was in a class of its own. He shared a special bond with his Aunt Brianna “Nana,” who was more like his sister.
If you knew Kyle, you knew it took a village to raise him. He always had support from his many “Aunts and Uncles” Stephanie and Craig, Heather and Tyler, Tatum and Paul, Stephanie and Chris, JR, Jessica, Jason, Sarah, Julie, Ruth, Kalista, Rikayah, Bibi and Lance, Dustin and Brook, Jessica, and Jason, Collin, and of course, his favorite gay uncle Mark.
Kyle’s passing will profoundly impact his three nieces and nephews: Tre, Nala, and Josiah. As well as his many cousins: Jade, Zane, Lou, Addy, Mia, Hannah, Gavin, Ella, Noah, Christian, Ember, Lil’ Chris, Jaida, Jaxon, Jordayn, Joleigh, Carter, Stephen and Mandy and their kids Noah, Savannah, and Payton, Natalie and her son Myles, Moriah, Ashleigh, Drake, Todd, Hayden, Hudson, Colton, and Nicolas. Additionally, he will be dearly missed by his extended family and numerous friends.
Kyle was preceded in death by his fur brother and sister, Koby and Rumble; great-grandparents Imogene, Glen, Jerry, Papa Scott and Grandma Vicki, Glynda, Papa Bud, Gigi and Papa Dick, Grandma Wanda, and his uncle Khawn.
Throughout his life, Kyle pursued a variety of interests and passions. Wrestling held a special place in his heart; he enjoyed participating in and watching the sport. As a child, he avidly followed WWE. Kyle’s love for sports extended beyond wrestling; he loved to attend sporting events with his family. He always maintained a positive outlook, believing that giving his best effort was the most important aspect, regardless of the outcome.
Nature beckoned to Kyle, and he found solace while fishing and engaging in the thrilling activity of noodling. He lived life with a sense of adventure, embracing the fast pace it offered. Whether striving for success in his various endeavors or honing his culinary skills, Kyle never ceased pursuing personal growth. He proudly referred to himself as a “FACTOTUM,” meaning “A person with many diverse activities and responsibilities and a general servant.” Kyle was also a certified welder, held a CDL permit, and completed paralegal certification classes.
Kyle’s passing leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy of love. Although he is now gone, his spirit will forever resonate with those who knew him. He will be remembered for his resilience, determination, and the unconditional love he shared with his family and friends.
