Ladeema B. Deese's Obituary
Ladeema Bell Deese, was born on August 21, 1920 in Proctor, Oklahoma to the late Jess Mayes and Mary Rowena (Wilson) Mayes and passed from this life on September 21, 2018 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 98. Ladeema lived a long life and will be remembered as a sweet, loving person who loved the Lord.She was preceded in death by her husband, Jess William Deese, her parents, Jess and Mary Mayes, her brother Bill Mayes, her sister, Opal Galyean, and her son Ronald Lee Deese.She was married to Jess Deese for 65 years until his death in 2003.She is survived by her daughter, Janice Sue Luce, and husband David Leon Luce of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her daughter-in-law Alice Deese of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; four grandchildren, David Ryan Luce, and wife Cynthia Barrett-Luce, of Tuttle, Oklahoma; Dana Michelle Enochs, and husband, Robert Enochs, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Douglas William Luce, and wife, Leanna Luce, of Ft. Worth, Texas; and Ronald Lee Deese II, and wife Teresa Deese, of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; twelve great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.She worked at Union Public Schools for 25 years and retired as Food Service Director in 1977. She was a member of Alsuma Holiness Church and loved the members like family.She loved spending time with her grandchildren and her family. She was a wonderful cook and made Sunday dinner for her family for many years. Her cinnamon rolls and sweet rolls were loved by everyone. She loved making quilts and made one for each of her children and grandchildren. She and Jess traveled a lot after retirement in their fifth-wheel travel trailer. She especially loved going to Roaring River to fish and thoroughly enjoyed catching more trout than Jess, which she always seemedShe lived alone, drove her car, and was very active until the age of 96 when she got a case of the Shingles.She passed on September 21, 2018 after suffering a heart attack one month after her 98th birthday. She is now with the Lord and has been reunited with the love of her life, Jess.Visitation will be held Sunday, September 30th, from 2:00 pm till 5:00 pm at Floral Haven.Funeral Service 12:30pm Monday, October 1, 2018 at the Floral Haven Funeral Chapel.
