Larry Joe Barthel's Obituary
Larry Joe Barthel was born March 15, 1941 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to the late Joseph and Novita Barthel. After graduating from the Oklahoma Military Academy in 1960, Larry served in United States Army during the Vietnam War and was a recipient of the Bronze Star. Larry was a huge sports fan. He loved OU & TU. He also enjoyed Talk Radio, going to the Casino and was a competitive shuffle board player. He is also one of the founders of the Union Wrestling Program. He was a long time employee of Erlanger Tubing Company. Larry was a friend to all that knew him and loved by so many. Larry is survived by his son, Jason Barthel; step son and daughter in law, Austin Fox & Michelle Fox and step son, Jeff Brand; Grandkids, Austin and Drake Fox, Nicole and Matthew Brand and many nieces and nephews. Larry was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Barthel A Memorial Service celebrating the Larry’s life will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 25, 2016, Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
