I'm so sorry for his family's loss. I hardly knew Larry because I was only a client of his. He was doing work on my home the weekend his aunt died. He was a very sweet and kind man. I knew nothing about him loving the sax, but his excellent work ethic and love for animals was apparent. I just recently found out about his death trying to contact him about referrals to friends.
I too met Larry when he came to Catoosa. We were saxophone players together in The Tribe. He was a great guy and unfortunately left us way too soon. I will always remember some advice he gave me. It turned out to be right on the mark. I never got to thank him for that. I met him at the Quick Trip on 161st a couple of years ago and we briefly caught up with each other's lives. I saw the banner on I-44 a month ago that read Brandenburg Concrete and I thought it must have been Larry's company. I told myself that I ought to call him and catch up. I regret that I didn't do that. I hope now that someday we'll get to do that catchin' up.My condolences to his family and friends.
My thoughts and prayers go out to all who knew and loved Larry, most especially his family and his mother who he was very close to. His life was cut short. He will be missed and remembered with loving memories of a good man. A great friend.
Today is Easter Sunday,I only met Larry briefly about a 2 weeks before his passing. He came to our home to give us a bid on some concrete work. He told me a little about himself & I told him he had the job, but I still had some work to do before I was ready to turn it over to him. He said he would call me to let me know when he was available to come do the job. I called him again to let him know I was ready, & he told me he had already started on another job but would get back to me as soon as he could. I think that it was Larry or Larry's Spirit that lead me to find his obituary in the paper. Because I don"t even get the paper, & I almost never look at the obituaries. Even when I saw his I thought to myself, that kinda looks like the Larry Brandenburg I talked to last week, who is supposed to call me back when he can to start work on our project. So after reading the Obituary & realizing it was him!! I was both shocked & dumbfounded. What happened? the more I thought about it, the more I became convinced that it was Larry letting me know that he didn't forget about me, but he wouldn't be calling me back either! Larry we shared many great moments together playin music and some great ones just being friends. You are greatly missed and my prayers go out to you and your family, I'll never forget you brother!
I had known Larry since he came to catoosa when he and I were in the 7th grade. We both played Alto Sax. and quickly became good friends. We later became friends again after high school almost 20 years later. He was always doing anything he could to help me when I would ask him. He was always there for me. I was in shock when I saw on facebook that he had passed away. My bro. and I both had seen him or talked to him on the phone this last month. I was glad I was able to attend the funeral and meet his parents again after all of these years. He will be missed dearly. He also has a facebook page and I have posted on there as well. Good bye old friend … you were way too young to pass, I wish we could of been old men sitting on the porch talking about the old days whe we both still had hair on our heads… but I will be thinking of u.

I am saddened to hear that we have lost Larry Bradenburg. I knew him for several years by teaching him English at Catossa High School. I had Larry in English is senior year and helped graduate Larry tudoring.I also was his senior English teacher. Larry loved band, and that year, I had Larry right after band. He was always so tired and sleepy. However, I loved and admired his passion for band, music, and his saxaphone. I supported him in every way. I'm so happy to hear that he went on to play his sax and have a good time; I've always wondered what he did after graduation. He graduated from one of the best classes that I had while being there–they were great, and I had such a wonderful experience and I remember Larry as if it were yesterday. To his family and friends: I'm sorry that I cannot be at his service–but please know that my heart, love, thoughts and prayers are with you all. I'm sure that Heaven is hearing beautiful music played by Larry and I look forward to hearing him play again.
larry,was like a big teddy bear for my kids,they always waited for uncle larrys loud truck to come arond the corner.when we talked it always ended up about the gto,we were almost finished.larry u will always be deeply missed and always rembered by everyone
