Larry Dennis Cooke's Obituary
Larry Dennis Cooke, 74, of Mounds, Oklahoma, died on Tuesday, March 18, 2014. He was born on April 19, 1939, in Cleburne, Texas, the son of William and Tommie Cooke. On October 20, 1956, he married Betty Rose Ella Wheat, in Sapulpa. He had worked as a heating and air conditioning contractor in the Tulsa area for many years, and was dedicated to his craft. Larry enjoyed the outdoors. He loved to fish, camp, and have family “get togethers”. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Betty Cooke, of Mounds, Oklahoma, four children, Deidre Stephens, and her husband, Doug, of Bixby, Oklahoma, Randy Cooke, and his wife, Carolyn, of Leonard, Oklahoma, Steve Cooke, and his wife, Melissa, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Debbie Rodgers, and her husband, Gary, of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, twelve grandchildren, Jacob Stephens, Jason Stephens, Holly Kelley, Aaron Stephens, Branden Rodgers, Robert Cooke, Colin Cooke, Heather Rodgers, Cameron Cooke, Mercedeez Robinson, Gage Estes, and Brok Estes, thirteen great-grandchildren, three brothers, Eddy Cooke, Dave Cooke, Tim Cooke, and his sister Billye Winfield, and numerous other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Tommy Bob Cooke, and sister, Pat Boag. Memorial donations may be made in Larry’s name to the American Cancer Society
