Larry Michael Davidson's Obituary
Larry Michael Davidson, aged 65, passed away peacefully at his home on November 24, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on March 8, 1959, in Flushing, New York, Larry was the cherished son of Donald Davidson and Mildred Louise Murphy Davidson.
Larry's life was marked by his dedication to his family and his career. He married the love of his life, Jerilyn Louise McAdoo, on September 9, 1995, in Rogers, Arkansas. Together, they built a beautiful life in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
Larry had a distinguished career at Ford Corporation, where he was part of the first Senior Master’s groups. He retired in 2023 after an impressive 45 years of service. His passion for cars extended beyond his work; he was a devoted fan of NASCAR and Formula One racing and had the honor of putting his signature on The Ford car that raced in NASCAR.
Music was another of Larry's great loves. He enjoyed Blues and Classic 60’s and 70’s Rock music. He also loved watching football and soccer, and he was a proud supporter of his granddaughter Kinley's cheerleading, always cheering her on as her beloved Paw Paw.
Larry was an adventurous spirit, known for his thrill-seeking activities like bungee jumping and skydiving. He loved traveling, whether it was reaching the top of Pikes Peak or exploring tropical climates, always preferring the warmth over the cold.
At the age of 12, Larry moved from New York to Tulsa, Oklahoma. He attended Memorial High School and later pursued his passion for automobiles at OSU in Okmulgee, where he excelled in the Auto Tech program. Larry was a fantastic mechanic, known for his skill and dedication.
Larry is survived by his devoted wife, Jerilyn Davidson of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; his six children, Rebecca Willhite and her husband Joel of Coweta, Oklahoma, Sarah Bushyhead and her husband Will of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Lisa McDowell and her husband Jamie of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Jeremiah Wilhite and his wife Jessy of Jenks, Oklahoma, Benjamin Willhite and his wife Laura of Coweta, Oklahoma, and Michael Davidson and his wife Angelique of Coweta, Oklahoma. He also leaves behind 15 grandchildren: Ivy, Lily, Jada, Lucas, Garrett, Elizabeth, Ethan, Jack, Mara, Lance, Joseph, Bentley, Kinley, Marley, and Wesley. Larry's three beloved fur babies, Lexi “Pup Pup,” Luna “Miss Pickles,” and Case “Mr. Man,” will miss him dearly.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Paul Davidson.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, December 6, 2024 in the Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in Larry’s honor to the Animal Rescue Foundation, 5201 S Yale Ave, Tulsa, OK 74135
