Larry and I worked together for approximately 25 years at ATC and had many memorable memories. Since our children went to Union we had many discussions regarding the Band and Football teams and of course bantering with other employees when we played Jenks or Broken Arrow. He very much loved his wife, children and grandchildren. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Thanks for all the wonderful memories, Larry. We will miss you, paticularly at Vigils. Our prayers for the family.
I too (like Patty Scott) worked with Larry at Arrow Trucking for 20+ years. I have a couple of things to mention about Larry.Once, years ago, my square dancing group needed some Boy Scouts for a flag presentation and also to help with the back breaking task of putting down a temporary dance floor. Larry was the obvious choice for locating such a group of Boy Scouts. Everything worked perfectly and there are times that we still compliment the Scouts and their willingness to help us. Larry certainly came through for us as he did for so many others.The other thing I remember is when Larry "volunteered" to dress up in a grass skirt and help with the presentation of a Hawaiian cruise that was given to the receptionist at Arrow upon her retirement. I am not sure if he was proud of the photo we put of him in the company newsletter, but we was a good sport about it!I pray that your happy memories of times spent with him will help you through the sad times.As always, Elaine (Tucker) Cox
Dearest Family,It is with our deepest regret for your loss that we write this note to you.Ken & I worked with Larry for years at Arrow. Ken & Larry stayed in touch quite alot since then.What we want to share with you is this. Knowing Larry and having him as a part of our work family life was such a good experience. What we respected the most about him is that he was so proud of his family. It's hard to recall even a day that he wasn't talking about something happening at home. If everything was good at home then Larry was always at his happiest.Do you boys remember coming to Claremore to buy the red pickup several years ago with your dad & grandma?? That was us.When Ken was in the hospital Larry & I talked last. He was also off work not feeling well. We talked for quite a while catching up. What was his discussion about? All of you & he was gushing about the grandchildren.
