Larry Mauzy's Obituary
Larry was born in Warsaw, IN August 11, 1940 to Leonard and Lillian (Shroyer) Mauzy. Growing up on a farm in rural Indiana, Larry and his brothers, along with father Leonard and neighboring friends, spent many hours in the barn playing the “state game”- basketball. After being chased by the cutest girl at North Webster High School, Larry married Brenda Lee Richard May 28, 1959. Larry attended Indian Central College. In 1963, Larry, Brenda, Lynne and Leeanda moved from Indiana to Tulsa, OK, and made Tulsa their home. Laura was born in Tulsa.Throughout his career in Tulsa, Larry worked for Amax Aluminum Mill Products (1970-72), Skyline Corporation (1972-73), T.K. International (1973-1981), and RDS/Solar Turbines (1981-2016). After 34 years of faithful service Larry retired as Vice President/Sales Manager from RDS Manufacturing in 2016. Larry met and maintained many lifelong friends during his career.Larry was preceded in death by both parents, sister Lorene Mauzy Weimer, and brother Terry Mauzy.Larry is survived by loving wife Brenda, Tulsa, and brother Leonard Ellis Mauzy, Fort Wayne, IN, daughters Lynne Mauzy Rudy, Broken Arrow, and Leeanda Mauzy Rudy (husband Phil), Broken Arrow, Laura Mauzy Bunch (husband Blaine), of Owasso. He also has 10 beautiful grandchildren and two Great grandchildren– Larrin Rudy, Tulsa; Abigail Rudy Herrera (husband Russell) and son Trace, Tulsa; Trey Rudy and son Jalen, Tulsa; Zach Rudy (Betsy Hilton), Ethan and Emma Hilton, Broken Arrow; Matthew Rudy, Broken Arrow; Ben Rudy, Newberry Park, California; Adeline Rudy, Tulsa; Taylour Bunch, Tulsa; Tanner Bunch, Staten Island, NY; Hannah Bunch, Springfield, MO.Visitation will take place on Tuesday, July 23 from 5 pm – 8 pm.Services will be at 10 am on Wednesday, July 24 at the Floral Haven Chapel.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Blue Star Mothers of American Broken Arrow Chapter 5 – 905 S 9th St C, Broken Arrow, OK 74012
