Larry Parker's Obituary
Larry Parker, 57 of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma passed from this life on Saturday, November 10, 2018 in a Tulsa hospital with family by his side. He was born February 4, 1961 in Bellflower, California to the late Oscar Dale Parker and Betty Joan Byrd Parker.Larry loved life. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his brothers; family card games; traveling to beach communities in Mexico and Florida with the love of his life, Teresa, and music… attending concerts, listening on the radio, or making up his own silly lyrics to well known tunes. Friends of Larry remember him as a guy with a big heart, a big sense of humor and as a great athlete during his younger years. Larry worked in outside sales in the HVAC industry through the years in California and Oklahoma, most recently with Carrier. Larry leaves many of us with a lot of wonderful memories and he will be missed.Larry is survived by his life partner, Teresa Plowman of the home; one sister, Charla Rae and husband Dr. Alton Rae of Owasso, Oklahoma; three brothers, Oscar Dale Parker, Jr. of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Allen Wayne Parker and wife Caren of Collinsville, Oklahoma and Kevin Dale Parker of California; thirty nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and a very special “Fur” son, Chester. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Betty Parker and one brother, Michael Gene Parker.A memorial service will be held at 12:30p.m. on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel with a reception to follow at Floral Haven Family Center.The family has requested memorial be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation at www.JDRF.org.
