Larry Gene Sells' Obituary
Larry Gene Sells, a devoted husband, cherished father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on March 27, 2025, at the age of 77. Born in Hominy, Oklahoma, on August 25, 1947, Larry was the beloved son of Elwood and Juanita Sells. He grew up surrounded by love and family, creating countless memories that would last a lifetime.
Larry resided in Claremore, Oklahoma, where he built a life filled with love, laughter, and lasting connections. He married Paula Sells on September 6, 2012, in Claremore, creating a bond of unwavering partnership and dedication that brought joy to all who knew them.
Larry was a proud and loving father to Leanna Todd (husband Steve Fletcher), Steven Sells, Mark Kidd (wife Lisa), and TJ Kidd; and grandchildren, Hunter Dean Fletcher, Johnny Dakota Todd (wife Penny), Dustin Kidd, Tyler Kidd, Michelle Kidd, Christopher Kidd, Terry Kidd, and Matthew Kidd, and a great-grandfather to Brooklyn Carter, Levy Lane Todd, Johnny Gene Todd, and Remy River Todd. Larry's family was his pride and joy, and he poured his heart into every role he held.
He shared a close bond with his brothers, Steve Sells and Dayton Sells, who stood by his side throughout life. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Elwood and Juanita Sells, his stepmother Ida Mae Sells, and his grandchildren Brandon and Lauren Kidd. Their memories will forever remain with those who loved him.
Larry's legacy lies in the love and kindness he gave to others and the cherished moments he created with his family and friends. His spirit will be celebrated and honored by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, April 7, 2025 at Floral Haven Funeral Home's Chapel with Military Honors.
