My Dear Mother, The pain and emptiness I am feeling now that life is trying to return to normal, sometimes takes my breath away. Just knowing that you are no longer living up the road from us leaves a void not yet fillable. You were a precious jewel, shining your light wherever you traveled, and many lives will be forever touched by your love. Your undying devotion to our beloved father is beyond admiration. The love you held tightly in your heart for him even after his passing, showed proof that there truly is love everlasting! Oh Laverne,What a gal! I have such fond memories of you. I spent many hours in your presence with my best friend, Marla Jane. Lamar and you were merry makers who helped me feel loved as you opened your hearts and home to me. I loved being in your home; dinners and slumber parties with Marla Jane and lots and lots of laughter, and I thank you all for that.You are in your new home of many mansions now, a new body and a new position in your new life! You and your beloved husband are together again with the rest of the clan, all shiny and new, no pain or tears and bigger smiles and more laughter than ever, forever, eternally extending your love.Thank you for impacting my life in such a positive manner. I'm so grateful for the time I was able to spend with Mammaw and Pappaw as a kid. I had some great memories of them, from birthdays and Christmases to camping trips at Pine Island. It's a relief that Mammaw is not suffering now and it makes me happy that she and Pappaw are together again in Heaven.

Of all the memories I have of my Mother the one that seems to stand out the most, at least at this time, is one of the last conversations I had with her – during the visit and while talking about Dad and all the other topics we covered, she told me with absolute certainty and with great conviction that she would be spending eternity in Heaven, where she knew Dad would be, because she had placed all of her confidence in the Works & Words of Jesus Christ her Saviour, and not in trying to be a good person – I have this one reason alone to be sure and thankful of that my Mom is in heaven at this very moment where my Father surely is as well……..
