Lawrence Earl Hudson's Obituary
Lawrence Earl Hudson was born to Larnce Russell Hudson and Floy Alice Medlin Hudson in Coweta, Oklahoma on August 8, 1938 and passed away on June 12, 2023. Lawrence graduated from Jenks High school in Jenks, Oklahoma in 1956 and attended Pipes Trade School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He worked as a plumbing contractor. Lawrence married the love of his life, Geraldine Morgan, on November 29, 1957 in Claremore, Oklahoma.
Lawrence was a hard-working, thoughtful, sensitive, kind, honest, and warm-hearted man. He was simply a person who did his best to live life as well as he could. You will not see his name up in lights; his goal was not glory or fame. He most highly valued the people he loved, and friendship, to him, was a prize. Contentment with life could be seen on his face and happiness shone in his eyes. He shared what he had with those in need, and found time to help those in distress. He may not have been famous, he may not have been rich, but at living, this man was a success.
Lawrence took care of his family. His desire was to have four boys, but he gave two, first and last, back to the Lord and raised two fine men. He helped them achieve Eagle Scout rank and educated them to be good citizens. Lawrence loved spending time at the lake with his family, and they share many good memories at the family lake house where water sports were the rule. There were many family vacations, Caribbean cruises, trips to Hawaii and Alaska. Lawrence and Jerri traveled the world, including trips to Europe and South America.
Lawrence provided a good life for his family. Now rest in peace!
He will be dearly missed by the love of his life, Geraldine “Jerri” (Morgan) Hudson; sons: Lawrence “Lon” Hudson and wife Donna Faye, and Lewis Hudson and wife Kristina “Tina”; grandchildren: Matthew Hudson, Steven Hudson, Morgan Roden and husband Tyler, and Lee Hudson; great-grandson: Hudson James Roden; and sisters: Alice Reed, Patricia Crone, Brenda Moore, and LaDonna Thiltgen. Lawrence is preceded in death by his parents: Larnce and Floy (Medlin) Hudson; sons: Gerald and Leon Lee Hudson; brother: Roger D. Hudson; and sister: Wilma Blair.
