Lawrence Lee Scott's Obituary
Lawrence Lee Scott, a resident of Tulsa, passed away June 29, 2017 at the age of 81. He was born and raised in Elk City, Oklahoma. He graduated from Elk City High School in 1953 and joined the Army in 1955. After serving in the Army for 6 years, he began a career as a truck driver from 1961 until his retirement in 1996.He loved listening to Bob Dylan and watching sports, especially the Oklahoma Sooners and Texas Rangers. Most of all, he loved his family very much. His faith was strong and he knew God. He’ll be waiting for us in Heaven.He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Henry and Velma Nancy (Wolfe) Scott; brother, Clarence Henry Scott, Jr.; nephew, Warren Scott Pelton and granddaughter, Kyler Sheridan Scott.Survivors include his wife, Belen Velasco Scott of Owasso; son, Michael Scott of the home; daughter, Ellenee Killion of the home; daughter, Amanda Killion of the home; stepdaughters, Marilyn McCarley of Lake Hills, TX, Virginia Brown of Tulsa and Debra Mann of Tulsa; sister, Helen Fay of Norman; brother, Don Scott of McAlester; grandchildren, Adrien Lee Scott of Tushka and Ehlena Kristine Scott of the home; nephews, Steven Scott of OKC, David Scott of Hartshorne and Larry Scott of Hutchinson, KS; nieces, Debbie Owens of Blanchard; Penny Scott Lewis of Sayre and Nancy Scott of McAlester.Memorial Services will be held Saturday, July 8th @ 1p.m., Powerhouse Center 223 E. 8th St. Tulsa, OK 74119 8th & Cincinnati in Downtown Tulsa
