Leatrice Bennett's Obituary
Leatrice Bennett was born on July 26, 1940, to Mr. and Mrs. John and Charlotte Demry-Bennett in Wetumka, Oklahoma.
He attended elementary and graduated from Wetumka High School.
Leatrice served in National Guard and was recalled to Active Duty, served his country and later was honorably discharged.
He worked for the City of Tulsa Parks for many years. His most recent employment was Nut & Bolt Company until he became disabled. As his health began declining, and unable to live alone, he became resident at Sherwood Manor Nursing Home for the past 3 years, where he passed on July 4, 2023.
Leatrice was a lot of fun and always kept everyone laughing, and everyone that met him loved him.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his brother and sister-in-law, John B and Brenda Bennett of Tulsa, Oklahoma; his sister-in-law Gloria Bennett of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and several nieces and nephews.
Leatrice was preceded in death by his father, John Bennett; mother, Charlotte Bennett; four brothers, Henry, Harry, LeRoy, and Jewel Bennett; and three sisters, Loretta Bennett, LeEtta Bennett Johnson, BeaEtta Blackshire
Everyone loved him at Sherwood Manor. Thank you to all the nurses, aides, and staff. Also nurses and staff from Rivercross Hospice
Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 11th, 2023 from 12-7 at Floral Haven Funeral Home
Graveside service will be held Wednesday, July 12th, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Green Acres Cemetery in Skiatook, OK off Highway 75
