Lee Barrett's Obituary
Lee Barrett, 77 of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed from this life on Monday, January 21, 2019 in a Tulsa hospital with his loving family by his side. He was born May 1, 1941 in Stillwater, Oklahoma to his parents, Bryan Horace Barrett and Norah Pauline Harris Barrett. Lee married the love of his life, Vickie Jean DeFriese Barrett on May 2, 1964 in Ponca City, Oklahoma and they shared over 54 beautiful years together.Lee was a 1959 graduate of Stillwater High School and a United States Air Force Vietnam Veteran. He loved to fish, loved to talk and he was one who never met a stranger. In his earlier years, Lee owned his own trash company called Vic’s Trash Service. After this he owned a service station called God’s Service Station in Azle, Texas. Lee later went on to work as a car salesman at various car dealers for many years. Being in sales he ventured into cemetery sales working at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens for approximately 4 years and then at Memorial Park Cemetery for approximately 1 year. Lee also Loved Jesus.Lee is survived by his loving wife, Vickie Barrett of the home; son, Bryan Barrett and wife Jamie of Tulsa, Oklahoma; daughter, Brandi Sligar and husband Marshall of Colleyville, Texas; thirteen grandchildren, Dylan and Brianna Sligar, Colton, Jackson, Bryce, Mallory, Natali, Kynzlee and Emilynn Barrett, Jessica Jackson, Kalie and Morgan Bain; and two great-grandchildren, Wyatt Barrett and Rowan Jackson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bryan and Norah Barrett; sister, Maxine Vaughn; brother, Jac Barrett; and granddaughter, Shelbie Sligar.A memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel with military honors provided by the United States Air Force Honor Guard.The family have request that in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of one’s choice in Lee’s honor.
