Lee Allen Chandler's Obituary
Lee Allen Chandler, born December 8, 1959, in Tampa, Florida, passed away on May 10, 2026, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He was the son of Henry Taylor and Ronda Mae (Cavness) Chandler, Jr., and grew up surrounded by a family whose love and adventures shaped the course of his life.
Lee spent many years in Austin, Texas, where he worked as a fishmonger—a role that suited his easygoing nature, strong work ethic, and love for people. He was known for his humor, his stories, and the way he made even the busiest days feel lighter.
A man of many passions, Lee found joy in biking, music, and the outdoors. He was a devoted Grateful Dead fanatic, carrying their music with him through every chapter of his life. In his younger years, he loved fishing and hunting, and he never lost his appreciation for the quiet beauty of nature. New Orleans held a special place in his heart—its music, food, and spirit resonated deeply with him.
Lee treasured time spent traveling with his family. He joined them for unforgettable trips, including Yellowstone for his parents’ 50th anniversary, Yosemite, the guys’ adventures to the Okefenokee Swamp in Georgia, and Big Bend in Texas. These journeys became cherished memories, filled with laughter, stories, and the kind of moments that bind families together.
He is survived by his siblings: William Chandler and his wife Nancy, Ranae Randolph and her husband Bill, and Brad Chandler and his wife Celine; as well as four nieces and one nephew, all of whom loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Taylor and Ronda Chandler.
Lee will be remembered for his warmth, his humor, his love of music, and the way he embraced life with curiosity and heart. His family takes comfort in knowing he is now at peace.
