Leitha "Janie" Gwin's Obituary
Leitha Jane Gwin (Janie), 79, of Broken Arrow, passed away peacefully at 9:52 p.m. on Wednesday, September 29, 2021. She was surrounded by family. She was born on March 31, 1942 in Maud, TX to Jack and Agnes Steward. Always generous with her time and abundant in love, she was a hard-working Mom who would sacrifice everything she had for the benefit & betterment of her family. She was always topping the charts or setting the high bar in every sales job that she had throughout her life -- whether in furniture, print ads, Tupperware, Home Interiors, or otherwise.
She also loved having fun and scoring an occasional jackpot at the casino with her best friend, Pam; cooking and preparing meals that were second-to-none; watching TV; reading; going to the movies; playing games; being involved with her kids as much as possible, and having a good laugh whenever an opportunity presented itself. A Member of and involved with various churches in Bixby, Tulsa, and Broken Arrow over the years, she loved Jesus and her kids more than anything else in the world.
Janie was preceded in death by her parents; an older brother, Lyndol, and her second husband, Eugene W Gwin, Jr. She is survived by her first husband, Richard H Brasher of Tulsa; three children - Cathy Hamilton of Melbourne, Fl; Genni Davis of Tulsa, OK; and William Gwin, of Richardson, TX; and one son-in-law, Harold Hamilton of Melbourne, FL.
