Leland Ernest Landphair's Obituary
Leland E. Landphair was born on March 19, 1916 in Pleasanton, Iowa to his parents Ernest and Cora Landphair. After Leland’s graduation from Chillicothe Business College, he began his career at Skelly Oil Company in Kansas City, Missouri. He retired in 1982 after serving for 46 years with the company. Leland married Loretta Richardson on July 3, 1937. Leland was a proud member of Will Rogers United Methodist Church. Leland served with the U.S. Army during WWII. Leland considered the marriage of his son and the birth of his grandchildren as the most important events in his life. Leland was preceded by his spouse, Loretta, his sister Wilma Finney, his sister Norma Dykes, and his brother Kenneth Landphair. Leland is survived by his son, Steve Landphair and spouse Jeannie, his granddaughter, Jennifer Cordell and spouse Michael, his grandson, Mike Landphair and spouse Channing, and numerous nieces and nephews. Leland will be dearly missed by many family and friends.
