Lelia Mae Johnson's Obituary
Lelia Mae Johnson, affectionately known by her family and friends as 'Tiny', was born on August 29, 1922 in Norman, Oklahoma to Mac T. & Louella Jimerson.She passed from this life in Tulsa, Oklahoma on February 27, 2013 at the age of 90.Tiny was the baby of the family with older siblings Ethel and Mac Jr. and half brother and sister Jerry & Jo.She married T.C. Johnson of Bray, Oklahoma in LaMoore, CA in July, 1943.From California, they moved to Oklahoma City and a new job soon brought them to Tulsa in 1957. In 1958 they moved to the house they called home for many years near McClure Park. Early on Tiny worked as a switchboard operator and also in the cafeteria at J.C. Whitney Jr. High. Thereafter she was a homemaker.Tiny & T.C. were longtime members of the 29th & Yale Church of Christ in Tulsa and also attended the Memorial Drive Church of Christ.Tiny was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, daughter Kay Fairlie in 1995, son-in-law Royce Fairlie, and husband T.C., who passed away in 2002.She is survived by son Travis and his wife Linda, of Vista, CA, grandson Tad, of Show Low, AZ, step-granddaughter Angela Johnson Butler of CA, and 3 great grandchildren, Bianca, Braden, & Baron Butler, as well as a host of friends.Interment was in next to her husband at Floral Haven in Broken Arrow.
