Leman Milton Holley's Obituary
Leman M. Holley Leman Milton Holley, 88, of Broken Arrow Oklahoma, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of January 22, 2015. A celebration and recognition of Lee’s life will be held in the Family Center at Floral Haven Cemetery following a 12:30 service in the Chapel (Floral Haven) on Monday, January 26. A visitation prior to and following the service will be held. Service will be conducted by Lee’s brother, Pastor Dale Holley. Lee was born January 8, 1927 in Licking Missouri to Byron and Katie Holley. He was raised and attended school in Texas County until entering college and taking a break to join the Navy. He returned to school at Tulsa University where he got his degree in Petroleum Engineering and joined the ranks of Schlumberger Well Services, for whom he would work his entire professional career. He married Billie Ruth West and had two children, daughter Sherry Kathryn and son Shannon Lee. Lee loved his position with Schlumberger, raised his family and developed a fondness for woodworking and the construction of well built, beautiful furniture that still serves its purpose to this day. After Billie passed away in 1980, Lee married Norma Joan Hudson in 1983, remaining together until his passing. Surviving Lee is his wife, Norma and son Shannon. Lee touched the lives of two families, which included two stepsons and 9 grandchildren. Lee, always good natured, kept his sense of humor razor sharp. For those of us who kept his company there was always laughter. His wit would not allow sadness on this day, only good humor and fond memories. We will all miss him.Visitation will be 8:30 am to 10:30 am, Monday, January 26th, Floral Haven Funeral Home.Funeral Service will be 12:30 pm, Monday, January 26th, Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Arrow.
