Leo “Nug” Applegate III, 66, was born on November 29, 1952 and passed away on May 15, 2019.1971 Graduated McLain Sr. High, Tulsa, OK1973 Tulsa Junior College, Degree: Associates in Computer Science1980 Oklahoma State University, Degree: B.A. Geography – City Planning1981-1993 Worked for Phillips Petroleum, Bartlesville, OK as a Computer Technician1993 Tulsa University, Degree: B.S. Computer Science1993-1994 Worked in Kansas City, MO as a Computer Programmer1994 Tulsa Community College, Degree: Respiratory Therapy1996-2011 Worked for St. John’s Medical Center as a night Respiratory Therapist2011 retired from St. John’s to defeat lung cancer.May 15, 2019 he unexpectedly passed away.Throughout his life, he continued his passion for knowledge especially with his interest in astronomy, aviation and yachting. He loved sports especially baseball and his Oklahoma State Cowboys. Most importantly, his face lit up with joy for his niece, nephews and his grand nieces and nephews.Nug was Preceded in death by Father Leo Applegate Jr.; Maternal Grandparents Ben Palmer & Elizabeth Greathouse Palmer; and Paternal Grandparents Leo Applegate Sr. & Helen Julia Nicholson Applegate.He is Survived by Mother Loretta Palmer Applegate; Sister Sandra A. SnyderBrother Phillip D. Applegate; Brother Paul A. Applegate; Niece Amelia Snyder Ballew & her children Billy & Abigail; Nephew Dr. P. David Applegate, Jr, and his children Samuel & Emily; Nephew Joshua P. Applegate and his children Gianna, Noah and Elijah; Nephew Father Michael A. Applegate; Nephew Daniel A. Applegate.Visitation will take place on Monday, May 20 from 5 pm – 8 pm.Services will be at 10 am on Tuesday, May 21 at the Floral Haven Chapel.
