Leon Wayne Adams' Obituary
Leon Wayne Adams, 83, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2025. He was born on December 27, 1941, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, to his late parents, Hamby Petway Adams and Florence Esther Crapo.
Leon graduated from Union High School in 1961 and went on to lead a life filled with love, family, and joy. He married the love of his life, Carolyn Sue Arnold, on July 5, 1963, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Together, they shared over 60 years of marriage, building a family and countless memories.
Leon had a variety of passions, most notably golfing and trout fishing. He enjoyed spending time camping at Roaring River State Park, though humorously, he never ate the fish he caught. His love for the outdoors and nature was only surpassed by his devotion to his family.
Leon was preceded in death by his parents, his son Donnie Ray Adams, his grandson Eric Van Adams, and his siblings, Reba Parks, James Adams, Charlotte Adamson, and Donald Wayne Adams. He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Adams; sons Phillip and his wife Sheila, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Steve and his wife Cara, also of Broken Arrow; as well as his grandchildren, Corey Adams, Ashley Haefner, Heather Bullis, and Dylan Adams. Leon also leaves behind 14 great-grandchildren, who brought him much joy and love.
Though he is deeply missed by all who knew him, Leon's legacy of kindness, humor, and family devotion will live on through the generations he leaves behind. His memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of his loved ones.
Visitation will be held Sunday March 23rd in Floral Havens main funeral home building from 2pm to 5pm.
