Leon Buskey's Obituary
Leon Buskey was born January 4, 1946 in Mobile, Alabama to the union of Sam and Gola Buskey. Leon was a graduate of Central High School Class of 1965 and attended Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son (Terrance Buskey), two brothers (Sam Buskey III and Charles E. Buskey), and two sisters (Annie Pearl Buskey Moon and Patricia Buskey Travis).
He relocated to California where he met his beautiful wife. Leon was a manager of several a Public Storages in California. From 1989 - 1999 Leon was the gatekeeper and a Construction director for principle of Faith Christian Center in California.
Leon and Shirley Buskey later relocated to Tulsa, Oklahoma where they’ve lived for the last nineteen years. Leon was a God-fearing man and loved the Lord with all his heart. He was a very active member of Victory Church in Tulsa, OK. …. Where he was a leader of the Victory’s Men’s Discipleship group.
He leaves to cherish his memory, a loving and devoted wife Shirley Croom Buskey and four children, Leon T. Buskey Jr., Derrick Laws, Rokesa Tarver and Robert Tarver. He also leaves Granddaughters Dominique Thompson, and Kayla; great-grandchildren: Mario, Alaiya, and Kaleb; and great- great grandchild: Brooklyn.
He leaves his siblings; twin brother Lee Earl (Charlene) Buskey, Three sisters, Gloria Lang, Beverly (Arlan) Gibson and Belinda Yellock. Leon leaves his in-laws; Rosemary Croom (Texas) and Loretta Croom (Lakewood California) Larry (Tiffany) Croom (Cerritos California), Doris (Willie) Smith (Long Beach, California), and a host of nieces/Nephews to cherish his memory; along with his Life-long friends Lewis Stallworth, John Savage and Michael Beard. Leon was a shining light and encourager to all he encountered. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
