Leon A. Whitman's Obituary
Leon Alfred Whitman, 84 of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed from this life on Saturday, March 20, 2021 in a Tulsa hospital. He was born March 26, 1936 in Broadalbin, New York to his parents, Fred Whitman and Ada Kissenger Whitman. He married the love of his life, Jean Randall on July 4, 1958 and they have shared in over 62 wonderful years together.
Leon is survived by his loving wife, Jean Whitman of Tulsa, Oklahoma; his two children, Jeff Whitman of Olathe, Kansas and Melanie Whitman of Tulsa, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Amy Byrd and her husband Wes of Powell, Tennessee, Justin Stirewalt and his wife Virginia of Orange, California, Caleb Stirewalt of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Aaron Stirewalt of Tulsa, Oklahoma; three great-grandchildren, Noelle, Micah and Finley Byrd all of Powell, Tennessee; one sister, Ruth Richards and her husband Ed of Greenville, South Carolina; and many friends and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Ada Whitman and six of his siblings.
Visitation will be held from 3-7 p.m. on Friday, March 26, 2021 at Floral Haven Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 27, 2021 in the Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be private at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorials be made to Florence Street Baptist Church, 200 E. 111th Street, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma 74011.
