Leonard L. Hall's Obituary
Leonard L. Hall, 65, of Inola, OK passed from this life on January 20, 2014. He was born in Tulsa, OK on January 23, 1948 to Jack L. and Dorothy M. Hall. Leonard graduated from McLain High School in Tulsa, OK in 1966. Leonard was married to Marcia on December 10th, 1966 He had a love for cars that began in high school when he ventured into a career of drag racing which proved unsuccessful when he was arrested by an off-duty police officer in a Volkswagen. This love came to a pinnacle when he attended the infamous Barrett Jackson Auto Auction in Scottsdale, AZ and he continued to faithfully watch through the years. Graduating in 1970 from the apprenticeship program through the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers -Local Union 584, he began his lifelong career as journeyman electrician. This afforded him the opportunity to work on several interesting projects in California, Missouri, Kansas, Texas, Arkansas, West Virginia and Alabama. He was a willing mentor to the next generation of apprentice As a Grandfather, better known as “PaPa”, he was a willing participant in all his grandchildren’s activities and encouraged them to learn new things. Other interest included roller hockey, bowling, and watching a different football game on every TV in the house. Leisure travel included going to Anchorage, AK and Pensacola, FL. Leonard was unique in maintaining numerous lifelong friendships and truly never met a stranger. It was important to him to always stay in contact with many of his fellow co-workers both local and those he met while traveling. His generosity extended beyond those he knew and loved as he was a long time donor to the Salvation Army’s Kettle and Angle Tree programs. He is survived by his wife Marcia and his canine kids Buddee, Dannan and Destin of their home; daughter Kim Tovrea, husband Martin and their children Meghan and Kevin of Mandeville, LA; son Justin Hall, wife Gwenn and their children Bryce and Chase of Catoosa, OK; Mother Dorothy Hall and sister Patricia Myers of Tulsa, OK, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Leonard was preceded in death by his father, Jack, and both maternal and paternal grand-parents. Memorials can be given in his honor to the charity of your choice.
