Services for Leonard Ray McCarty, 80, of Vian/Gore will be held at 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Floral Haven Chapel with the Reverend Pamela (P.J.) Stewart officiating. Burial will follow the service.Reverend (Retired) McCarty was born July 2, 1939 even though the records reflect the 12th in Owasso, Oklahoma to Henry Louis and Effie Beatrice (Cook) McCarty. Reverend McCarty passed this life on November 19, 2019, Gore, OK.He married Carol Lee Capps on March 4,1961 in Drumright. Upon the passing of Carol, he married Peggy Ann Reid on August 26, 2000. Leonard was a Solider, Counselor, Minister, Brother, Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather.Survivors include his daughter Karen Denise Barros and her husband Michael of Owasso, OK his son Darin McCarty and his wife Allie of Chouteau, OK, his sister Hazel (McCarty) Epperson and her husband Loren of Owasso, OK, 2 cousins, 15 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by both his parents, 1 brother, Kenneth Louis McCarty and his wife Carolyn, 2 sons, Michael Ray McCarty and Leonard Dwayne McCarty, both grandparents and all of his uncles and aunts and most of his cousins.Honorary pallbearers are Dub Sloan, Troy Sloan, Jim Tilotson, Carol Tittle, Dennis Ayr, Theron Croisant, Ed Brockman and John Brockman.Services under the direction of Floral Haven Funeral Home.Visitation will be held on Monday, November 25 from 5 pm – 8 pm.A service will be at 12:30 pm on Tuesday, November 26 at the Floral Haven Chapel.
