Leonard Martin Seymour, Jr., retired Lt Col , USAFR, passed from this life on August 8, 2010 in Tulsa , Oklahoma at the age of 92. Leonard was born on January 3, 1918 in Pleasant Hill , Missouri to Leonard Martin Seymour, Sr. and Edna M. Merriott Seymour. He attended Pleasant Hill High School and Kansas City College of Pharmacy. He met and married Juanita Lucille Cutberth Seymour and they shared 66 memorable years together. Leonard served in the United States Army Air Corps 1941-1945, United States Air Force Reserve, 1947-1969, and retired with rank of Lt Col. Leonard was a pharmacist and worked at many different drug stores and pharmacies until he retired from Couch Pharmacy. He was a founding member of Harvard Avenue United Methodist Church , an original member of Volunteers in Police Service, and he had 22 years of service at the Tulsa Police Department and Tulsa County Sheriffs Office. He was also an original member of Tulsa Airport Ambassadors with 13 years of service; a 32nd Degree Mason Scottish Rite, 50 year member; a Boy Scouts of America Wood Badge recipient; and a volunteer tax preparer. He was preceded in death by his parents. Leonard is survived by children, Michael L. Seymour and wife, Kathy and Lynnita J. Barkat; grandchildren, Stephen M. Seymour and wife, Toni, Robert M. Seymour and Teresa DeSirey; and Great Grandchildren, Logan S. Seymour and Lucas D. Seymour. Visitation will be held August 12, 2010, 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Family will greet from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held 12:30 p.m. August 13, 2010, Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma with interment to follow in Veterans Field of Honor at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Harvard Avenue United Methodist Church , 1027 North Harvard, Tulsa , Oklahoma 74115 .
