Leota Marie Gibbs' Obituary
Leota Marie Gibbs passed from this life on November 20, 2023, in Tulsa, OK. Leota was born on April 10, 1946, in Memphis. TN to King and Marie (Golden) Brown.
Leota was also a Care Provider of Karen Howard with VOA's Companion Program.
She is survived by her husband, Edward Gibbs, as well as five of their six children: Menkpheree, Rameses, Neferkepthah, Amenemmes and Djedneferre. She is also survived by her 2 remaining sisters, Rose "Tiny" Frazier and Stella Reynolds. Leota is also survived by her several grandchildren: Mason, Michael Jr., Mikayla, Trey, Maliyah, Mykah, Amiyah, Moriah, McKennah, Aliyah, Xavier, Dajanae, Daylan, Darrien and Landon, and several great-grandchildren: Akacia, Samson, Marlee, Nora, August, Wynter, Kingston, Kristopher, and Jackson.
Leota was preceded in death by her parents, King and Marie Brown, daughter, Ta-Kha'et, in 2015, and Siblings, Wallace Brown, Myrtle Chambers, Melinda Fields, Lee Earl Brown, Leon Brown, Chester "Horace" Brown, King Jr Brown, Louis Brown Sr, Ray Hershell Brown, Author Brown, Rose Fraizer, Stella Reynolds, and Bobby Brown.
The visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Floral Haven Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, December 1, 2023, at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.
