LeRoy Guy Cunningham's Obituary
LeRoy Guy Cunningham, age 89, a longtime resident of Catoosa, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2024. He was born on October 6, 1934, in Atlanta, Georgia, to the late Guy and Helen Cunningham. LeRoy proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War, and following his honorable discharge, he dedicated his talents to Channel 8 News as a skilled graphic artist. Beyond his professional accomplishments, LeRoy's talent shone through as an inventor, holding patents for a fishing eye for rods and a compact silk screen press. His intelligence extended to building his own home, reflecting his resourcefulness and determination. A true artist at heart, LeRoy found joy in painting and shared his passion for fishing with those around him. LeRoy's outgoing nature endeared him to many, but his greatest joy was his family. On December 11, 1959, he married the love of his life, Margaret Cunningham. Together, they raised two children, LaVonna and Cindy. He leaves behind cherished memories for his family and numerous friends. In honoring his life, let us remember a man of intelligence, creativity, and deep love for his family.
LeRoy's legacy lives on through his surviving family, including his beloved wife Margaret, daughters, LaVonna Riddle (Richard) and Cindy Salter, grandchildren Casey Keener, Sidney Riddle, and Rachel Riddle.
LeRoy was preceded in passing by his parents, brother, Walter Cunningham, and son-in-law Randy Salter.
A graveside service will be at 3 pm, Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens
