Leroy Duncan's Obituary
Leroy Duncan, after a lengthy illness, passed away on November 13, 2021 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He was born in Pryor, Oklahoma on September 30, 1933 to James and Maude Duncan, the youngest of seven children.
Leroy graduated in 1951 from Collinsville High School where he played football and his love of music began in band. After graduating, he joined the Air Force and was stationed in South Korea with the 6147th Tactical Control Group, known as the Mosquitoes. In 1955, he married Sarah Hunt. He graduated from The University of Tulsa in 1959 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and went on to have a successful career as a private CPA in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma as a partner with Muskrat and Duncan. His passion with music led him to lead and perform as a trumpet player in different genres, such as Glen Miller and Herb Alpert inspired bands. He loved restoring classic cars and loved all animals, bringing home many a stray cat and dog.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Sarah Duncan, his daughters Diane Seabolt, Dayna Foster (Roy Davis), Debra Chamberlain, and Donna Duncan; grandchildren Tommy Seabolt (Caris), Sarah Ricks (Jason), Elizabeth Clark (Jeremy), Evan Foster (Claire), Adam Foster, Erin Duncan (Eddy) and Jacob Chamberlain; 9 great-grandchildren, as well as many other family members. Leroy was preceded in death by his parents, James and Maude Duncan, his 6 siblings, Hazel, Irvin, Orville, Leta, James, and Herman; son-in-law Terry Seabolt; and his granddaughter Emma Foster.
Celebration of Life will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Floral Haven Rose Chapel
